Via EPIA M10000
The Via EPIA M10000

Was chosen for its 1Ghz processor (currently the fastest CPU on a Mini-ITX mobo), DDR ram support, 6 channel audio output for 5.1 surround sound, and both composite and S video outputs. I was very pleasantly suprised to find that VIA included a nice utility to adjust size and centering for the composite and S video outputs. The installation and config of Windows XP to the specialized VIA drivers was flawless and smooth. The board plays DVDs with no jitter, and audio with no dropout. At 1Ghz / 256MB DDR, I won't be using it for Photoshop, but it's amply powerful in this application. Highly recommended!
