If you've not installed the Firefox web browser: www.getfirefox.com , I would strongly recommend that you do so. In addition to being fast and offering features such as tabbed browsing and mouse gestures, Firefox is not as vulnerable to many of the spyware, adware and virus threats as Microsoft's Internet Explorer is.

Tabbed browsing is the ability to open a web page in a tab behind the page you are viewing in the existing browser window. You can then select the new page tab to view the new page at your convenience. Not only is this faster than opening a new browser; as IE does, but it save space on your screen.

Mouse gestures allow you to perform many functions in the browser by holding the right mouse button anywhere in the browser and moving the mouse. For example: left is "previous page", right is "next page", up that crosses a link is "open link in new tab", down then right is "close current tab".
